What is Title I? • Federal Funding Program to help students meet challenging academic standards • Schools are designated as Title 1 when 40% or more of its students are living in poverty • MCS has 9 Title I schools (and the George Hartmann Center) • Funds distributed by school poverty percentage (determined by Free and Reduced Lunch qualification)

  6. 2019-2020 Title I Budget Updates • 2019-2020 Funding Items: • Consolidation of Funds • Salary and Benefits Program Administrator • Parent Involvement activities • Private school participation • Homeless set aside for MCAA and WS • Professional learning, supplies, and additional staff at schools • Audit fees and indirect costs
