  4. LEADERSHIP Model the Way • Model the behavior expected of others • Share your values • Lead From What You Believe • Words and Deeds Must Be Consistent

  5. LEADERSHIP Inspire a Shared Vision • Be confident in your ability to make extraordinary things happen • Have the desire to make something happen • People will not follow until they accept a vision as their own

  6. LEADERSHIP Challenge the Process • Change from the status quo • Search for opportunities to innovate, grow, and improve

  7. LEADERSHIP Enable Others to Act • Foster collaboration and build trust • Frequently use “we” instead of “I” when discussing organizational accomplishments • Make it possible for others to do good work

  8. LEADERSHIP Encourage the Heart • Show appreciation for people’s contribution and create a culture of celebration • Build a strong sense of collective identity and community spirit
