Final(?) Design of G0 Upstream Shielding

This document presents the final design of the G0 upstream shielding, incorporating all necessary features. Exceptions include additional holes for threaded rods and specifications for polyethylene material. Detailed views and exploded diagrams are provided for better understanding. Comments for any necessary changes are requested to proceed with manufacturing drawings.

  2. Summary • I think I have incorporated all the features • Possible exceptions: • Additional holes for the threaded rods that support the protective covers for the windows • What kind of polyethylene? (UHMW?) • Something I don’t know about

  6. View looking downstream using full as-built CAD model Looks to me like there won’t be a problem with the threaded rods interfering with the detectors

  8. Side elevation view with near ribs on the head turned off to expose the shielding Detectors have not been moved back here, so there is a small interference between top layer of poly and Rohacell box.
