LANGUAGE ARTS • Create sentences with spelling words • Identify/label types of speech • Identify/label/create figurative language • Demonstrate understanding of vocabulary • Brainstorming for writing • Peer editing/revising • Working with Quotations (adding them to a picture) • Analyze “good writing samples”
READING • Analyze/create story maps • Complete Venn-diagrams • Discuss story elements • Book clubs/book discussion • Character analysis (inferencing) • Work on fluency by listening to themselves read
