  2. Minotaur • A half man half bull monster. • Minos owned the minotaur. • So he sealed it in a maze he had built under the castle.

  3. Madusa • A snake haired gorgon. • If you look at her eyes and get turned to stone. • She used to be a mortal woman until Athena changed her.

  4. Hydra • It’s a nine headed dragon with poisonous breath. • Cut off a head and two new ones grow back instantly it guards the entrance to the under world. • One head is immortal. • Man believes it can’t be destroyed.

  5. Cyclops • One eyed beast. • it can smash a human in a single flick. • The first Cyclops were black smiths. • The last ones are shepherds.

  6. Sphinx • It haves a body of a loin, wings of a bird, and head of a woman. • It pounces on its victims (only young men). • It strangles them to death then she eats them.

  7. Typhon • He have a such big head that it brush the stars. • It scared the gods. • They barley beat him once • It is now trapped under a mountain.

  8. Cerberus • It’s a three headed dog beast. • That guards the entrance to the underworld. • If the dead attempts to escape he will eat them. • One hit from its tail is fatal.

  9. Harpies • It has a face of a woman and a body of a vulture • They shriek, peck, and nag. • They spoil any thing that touches them. • they harass sailors. • They are sent to bring an one that is not willing to die to the underworld.

  10. Chimaeras • It has three heads. • A lion head and a lion front paws. • Goat head and goat hind legs. • A dragon headed tail. • Name comes from its master Charia. • It vomits flames.

  11. Siren • They have a head of a woman and a body of a bird. • They live at three rocky islands off the coast of Italy. • Their song messes with the sailors minds. • Orpheus does not here their song by droning it out with his lyre.

  12. Hecatoncheires • It has fifty heads and one hundred arms. • Created by Cronus and Gaia. • They are brothers of the Titan and the Cyclopes. • They were imprisoned beneath the earth. • Zeus released them the Hecatoncheires from the poison Cronus put them in.
