4. School Based Inquiry Teams Each school needs to have a school based inquiry team comprised of: teachers, teacher leaders and administrators;
Charged with becoming experts in using data to identify change in instructional practice, and accelerating learning of specific groups of underperforming students;
Work with school staff to implement and monitor change that benefits all students;
Reflective practice will be used as the basis for the Inquiry Team’s work, intended to support continual evidence-based improvement of student learning;

5. Training of Network Team by NYSED This is a schedule of the training that will take place in Albany.
This training will be turn-keyed to reps from the inquiry teams. Other districts can attend this turn key training through a per person registration fee.
This five day training will be turn-keyed in late August and early September before school begins and we will also offer this training during the school year for those who cannot make it during the late summer.

6. Teacher and Principal Evaluation Training 2011-2012 NYSED recently decided to provide:
10 days of training for Network Teams on NYSED’s chosen methodology for certifying teacher evaluators
7 days for principal evaluators– this training will be turn-keyed to the field
Districts can choose to take part in this training or create their own training around the 9 components of subpart 30-2.9 of the APPR Regulations (found on page 39-40 of the APPR Amendment Regulations)

NYSED has decided to that their chosen methodology of certifying teacher evaluators is going to be a 10 day training. And certifying principal evaluators will consist of a 7 day training
Our Network Team will attend this training in Albany and we plan on turn-keying this to the field. We are currently working on a budget to determine what the cost will be for this additional training.
