Summer Core Training for Teachers at SJSU College of Engineering • 2 week training for foundation units (GTTF) • 19 GTTF teachers trained Summer 2012 (58 total teachers trained) • Ongoing support by PLTW, SJSU staff, and Engineering Ambassadors • Support from fellow teachers at Best Practices Workshop every May
Design & Modeling • Automation & Robotics • Energy & the Environment Required GTT Foundation • Flight & Space • Science of Technology • Magic of Electrons • Green Architecture GTT Specialization District Agreement: A minimum course offering of Design & Modeling and Automation & Robotics must be provided.

Registration and Implementation • Select a School District Delegate • Register the school district • Review the agreement, return to PLTW by March 15 • Identify appropriate teachers • Teachers register for Core Training: after pre-assessment • Purchase required equipment and software: PLTW purchasing manual
