Aims developing and trialling materials to support innovative approaches to the teaching and learning of ICT theory; supporting named individuals in the development of skills and techniques needed to maximise the use of new materials; evaluating the effectiveness of tools and techniques used in terms of student feedback and achievement; contributing to the production of multimedia professional development materials which will take these and other strategies and materials into all sector ICT providers.

ICT Expert Group The role of the expert groups will be to act as intermediary between the Standards Unit and providers of learning, to ensure adequate consultation with all partners on the proposals. Expert Group members will be asked to provide advice and comment on emerging proposals and to seek the views of the bodies they represent.
Next steps Multimedia company produce Pilot Materials for launch on 6 July 2004; 40 pilot sites identified – includes 13 trial sites, FE & SFC, ACL, School sixth forms, WBL & Prisons; Multimedia company refine materials & produce electronic versions at all 3 levels; National roll-out July – September 2005
