Where did she come from? • Born on December 15, 1952, in Newton, Massachusetts. • Her father, Melvin Lester Taymor • Her mother, Elizabeth Bernstein • Parents were supportive and trusting • “I always believed Julie wasn’t going to do anything destructive to herself.” • Found an interest in international folklore and mythology, and also developed a passion for theatre. • involved in a theatre in Boston
