  3. Metodický list DUM seznamuje studenty se základními informacemi o svátku Trooping the Colour formou prezentace . DUM procvičuje získané vědomosti pomocí cvičení v závěru prezentace. Součástí DUM je i řešení cvičení. Snímky se mohou využít k souvislému vypravování. Obrázky slouží k popisu a zdůvodnění jejich souvislosti se státním svátkem.   4. History • it dates back to 17th century, • it was used before battles, • an annual event since 18th century, • exceptions - two World Wars. 1)

  5. Today • it is held on the occasion of the Queen´s Official Birthday, • it takes place in June (because of weather), • it celebrates the official Birthday of the Sovereign, • it is carried out by her personal troops, • the Queen herself visits and takes the salute. 2) 3)

  6. 1,400 officers and men are on the parade, • 400 musicians, • the parade route – from Buckingham Palace along the Mall to Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and back, • the Queen is in a carriage, • she used to ride a horse. 4) 5)
