General Overview about ARABOSAI • Established in 1976 in CAIRO • The organization regulation of 1976 were replaced by the organization charter adopted in 1983 • Number of SAIs : 22 • Official language : Arabic (other used languages : english, french )
ARABOSAI Strategic plan committee • established in 2008 (Decision N° 94/2008 of EB) • 6 members committee • main objectives • Encourage SAIs to implement CD Strategies • Encourage SAIs to adopt QAS • Develop the general training guide & encourage SAIs to adopt it • Encourage SAIs to adopt new tools in their Audits & mainly IT tools
ARABOSAI Strategic plan committee • main objectives • Encourage SAIs to create & develop training Units & implement training plans • Encourage the SAIs to recruit highly qualified members, develop their skills & work on their retention • Encourage SAIs to take benefit from its experts & mainly those certified from IDI • Encourage SAIs to collaborate & share knowledge with national professional organizations ( Audit bodies, Universities…)

ARABOSAI Institutional Capacity Development Committee • Established in 2008 • 8 members • Main Objectives • Capacity building of SAIs members • Promote & enhance exchange & sharing of experiences • Identify procedures, tools & approaches for capacity building • Support scientific research aiming to develop capacity building
ARABOSAI Institutional Capacity Development Committee • Main Activities achieved • Prepare three years action plan for institutional capacity development • Determine annual detailed programs • Assess the result of implementation of annual scientific meetings and training programs
ARABOSAI Institutional Capacity Development Committee • Main Activities achieved • Assess the results of competitions of scientific research based on committee evaluation reports and propose awards to winners • Prepare evaluation report of the past three years action plan implementation • Evaluate the results of the environmental working group • Propose cooperation areas in training with international and regional organizations
ARABOSAI Professional and auditing standards Committee • Established in 2008 • 6 members • Main Objectives • Promotion and sharing INTOSAI standards • encourage members to comply with INTOSAI and professional standards and best practices • Support scientific research to develop SAIs capacity building
ARABOSAI Professional and standards auditing Committee • Main Activities achieved • Translation of ISSAIs in Arabic language and publication in the auditing magazines • Signature of memorandum of understanding between SG and IDI to achieve compliance of ARAB SAIs with INTOSAI standards within 3 years

Requirements: What else? Technology capability must be assessed before installing any eLearning system Is there a defined strategy for eLearning? Does the organization have a LMS? Has everyone Internet access? Are there the right skills to install and deploy an eLearning system? Are the IT and training departments aligned? Do the different segments of the organization coordinate?
