What is a High School Coordinator High School Coordinator Housed at a Technical College • Every Technical College in Georgia has a High School Coordinator ++ Works Closely with Our High Schools • Implements our Programs of Study with Dual Enrollment and Articulation Opportunities Maintains Accurate Data in the Articulation Database ++ A Perkins Eligible Expenditure

Four Programs of Study Requirements (Perkins Act of 2006) • Incorporate secondary education and postsecondary education elements 1 • Include coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant career and technical content in a coordinated, non-duplicative progression of courses that align secondary and post-secondary education to adequately prepare students to succeed in post-secondary education 2 • May include opportunity for secondary students to participate in dual or concurrent enrollment programs OR acquire postsecondary credit in other ways 3 • Lead to an industry-recognized credential or certificate at the postsecondary level or an associate or baccalaureate degree 4
