  2. Key Messages • Three points in NJ are in minor flood today. These will crest in the minor flood category today. Some flooding may linger into Sunday. • Several other points in NJ, and on the Lower Potomac River and the Lower James River are above their caution/action stages at this time. • Forecasts continue to be closely monitored and updated through this event. Check http://water.weather.govfor the latest info.

  3. Rain • Rain from Andrea is in northern Maine already. • There are some patches of rain in Virginia that is unrelated to Andrea. Snapshot of weather radar at 10am June 8, 2013. The remnants of Andrea are shown by the rain are in northern Maine.

  4. This is the total rainfall we’ve had over the past 48 hours. This includes the entire Andrea event. Heaviest amounts were estimated by radar to be in excess of 8” in spots on the Delmarva peninsula (indicated in white color). • The heaviest 24 hour totals we saw were: 7.31” Williamsburg 6.5 NNW, VA 6.63” Williamsburg 4.1WNW, VA 5.91” Urbanna 6.2NNE, VA 5.67” Prince George 3NE, VA 5.42” Toms River 3ESE, NJ 5.40” Denton 5.8WSW, MD 5.26” Blackwater 5.23, MD 5.08” Gloucester Courthouse, VA

River Conditions • Minor flooding is occurring now on the: • Raritan River at Bound Brook, NJ • Raritan River at Manville, NJ • Millstone River at Blackwells Mills, NJ These points will crest in the minor flood category by tonight and flooding may linger into Sunday. Several other points in NJ, the lower Potomac and the Lower James basin are forecast to rise above their caution stages. NOTE – WFOs may be issuing forecasts and warnings for some quick responding rivers. See http://water.weather.gov for all the details. This is the Forecast Status map. Orange indicates Minor Flooding. Yellow is above caution or action stage.

  6. MARFC Status • MARFC has been on 24 hour operations since 6am Thursday. We may end our 24 hour operations tonight at 11pm – after consulting with our WFOs. • All river forecasts continue to be monitored and updated as needed. • MARFC continues to actively coordinate with our NWS Weather Forecast Offices and partners.
