Unprecedent roll out in Texas of a campaing against drunk drivers. Texas Department of Transportation October 9, 2002 AUSTIN – Starting next week, Jacqueline Saburido, 23 years old, will appear on TV PBS in what is said to be the strongest campaing against drunk drivers in Texas. Jacqueline was a happy going university student who loved to swim, practiced flamenco dancing and loved to spend her time with family and friends. Today, Jacqueline is a survivor of a car accident with a drunk driver in Austin three years ago, that left her burned and disfigured for life. Her passion for life has motivated her to want to make a contribution to society with the goal of reducing accidents involving drunk drivers. Accordingly, she agreed to appear in a series of new TV ads sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation, and the Depatment of Public Safaety, which will start on Monday.
