Graduation Requirements • Students must take and pass courses in specific subject areas in order to earn a high school diploma. • Students must earn a total of 220 credits in these specific subjects.
College Requirements (“a – g”) • Courses required by UC and CSU to be eligible to apply for admission following high school graduation. • Students must earn a “C” or better in “a-g” courses.

Graduation vs. Four Year College RequirementsPhysical Education Carlmont High School Four Year College • 2 Years • Freshmen must take PE 1. • Students must pass PFT or take PE 2 as a sophomore. • Dance and Weight Training are available for those students who pass the PFT • None
Sports • Each sport is 2.5 credits • Sports count as elective credits in the 9th grade • Sports count as PE credits in 10th, 11th and 12th grade

Attendance Requirement • A student will not earn credit for a course if he or she has 18 absences and 3 or more of these absences are cuts. • Students will not be penalized for 18 cleared absences (ex. Health, school activities, etc) • Parents have up to five days to clear an absence.
