How does the earth change? • This is our overall essential question • We will answer this by asking these unit questions: What are ways that the earth changes? What causes these changes? How do these changes alter landforms? How do these changes affect people?
Definition • On the first page, you will need to give a definition of how the earth changes. • An example: An earthquake is the sudden movement and shaking of the ground.
Cause • The next page needs to explain the cause the changes. How or why does this occur? • Example: An earthquake is caused when the ground along a fault slips.
Changing Landforms • The next page needs to explain how your changes affects landforms. • This can be sudden changes, or long changes that occur over time. • Example: An earthquake causes the ground to move – from a few inches to many feet. • Over time this movement can form mountains and change the course of rivers.
How are people affected? • The next page will explain how people are affected by these changes. • Example: Earthquakes are often tragic because they can cause severe damage to homes and buildings.
Fun Facts / Works cited • You can include a page of interesting things that you learned doing research for your presentation. • You will also need to include a page that cites all of your information source for your report. Think of this as a bibliography for your PowerPoint.
