Events • Following events can trigger a maintenance order • fixed maintenance cycles (maintenance calendar with creation wizard) • depending on hours of operation • depending on produced quantity / stroke rates • combination of all factors • Reported interruptions via terminal • With connected MDC via integration hub also more factors can be considered
Maintenance Plan • You can define in a service contract • Which event triggers the maintenance order • What kind of activities are to be created • What type of material is required. Should this be monitored in order planning? • What steps are necessary and which resources are required • When and for how long interruptions of the resource are planned
Resourceandtools • The maintenance can be defined for each resource and each tool: • ID • Description • Tool orresource • Creationispossible via • Service – internal Maintenance • Resource – Maintenance • Tool - Maintenance
Maintenance plan There are different maintenance periods for various maintenance tasks: check oil level weekly, check gear box monthly, yearly exchange of parts Any number of maintenance plans can be created and any intervals can be defined Time line Oillevel Oillevel Oillevel Oillevel Oillevel Oillevel Check motor Check motor
Maintenance plan • Maintenance plan consists of the following areas • ID, Master data • Event definition (Calendar, Counter) • Definition ofactions • Activities, History
Maintenance plan – required material, activities BOM(Material requirement) Maintenance plan Material isrequiredfor a maintenance. BOM iscreated A routingisdefinedforthedescriptionoftheactivities The required material and if necessary the required resources will be displayed at the due date of the maintenance order That way, it is ensured the material is always available. Routing(Requiredoperation) Maintenance order Order scheduling
Maintenance – Work order BOM(Material requirement) Maintenance plan A workordercanbecreatedfromthemaintenanceorder. As soon as the work order was created, this will be used as reference for scheduling. All material postings, costsandtimesarebookedtothisworkorder. The work times of the maintaining employee can be planned via APS. Routing(Requiredoperation) Maintenance order Work order
Maintenance plan – Work order • Requiredinformation • BOM, routing • Type ofcreation (automatic - numberofdaysbefore due dateormanually) • Production type (forexample, createnewproduction type „maintenance“) • Item, tobeusedasassembly. May not bestoragerelatedandmay not have a BOM orrouting, asthesearedefinedseparately.
Maintenance plan – Service call, activity A service call makes less sense for an internal maintenance order and will rather be used for external maintenance. A beas activity or SAP activity can be created in parallel. Youneedtoindicate: Creation: automatic, manual, nocreationCreation – howmanydaysbefore due dateRemarks Fields areonlyavailableif a businesspartner was stored in mainternance – masterdata.
