  1. 1Commence the manoeuvre by doing the SCALP routine. 2 Carry out the POM routine. 5 If you are satisfied that the road is safe, start to creep back, and quicklyturn one turn of the steering towards passenger side kerb (1). The car will start to turn in the direction of the nearside kerb. 3 Let your car slowly crawl forward while guiding it so that it is approximately one metre away from the parked vehicle. Let the front tyres of your car pass the stationary car using the wing mirror as a guide (when the mirror lines up with the end of the car as shown in picture, the car is far enough forward.) 6 As the car circles in towards the pavement, look through the rear window initially and as you lose sight of pavement from the back window, turn your headover your right shoulder, check that there are no other road users passing by. Keep going back whilst turning your attention to left mirror, as the car nears the pavement you will begin to see less and less of the road tarmac, when you no longer see the road surface between the pavement and car’s body unwind the steering back to straight and turn one extra turn away from the kerb (2). The car will begin to straighten alongside the pavement, as it continues to straighten up look thorough the left side door mirror to see how close you are. 4 Select reverse gear and perform the POM routine. Creep back until your back tyres have just gone past the parked car, stop at this point and take a 360 degree observation (six point check) for other road users, keep particular look out for pedestrians and cyclists.(remember that the front of your car will swing out towards the centre of the road). 7Asthe car straightens up, return the wheel back to straight so that when the car is parallel with the pavement the front wheels are in line with the car (1). The car will be approximately half to three quarters car length from the pavement. And 10 to 15cm from kerb. When you see the window divider bar pass the end of the parked car, the centre of your tyres will have passed the car.
