  2. John Dickinson was later named after a College. • John Adams was the 2nd President of the United States. • George Washington was the Commander of the Continental Army. • Benjamin Franklin was known for inventing the Light bulb. Founding Fathers

  3. New England: Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. • Middle Colonies: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. • Southern Colonies: Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. 3 Regions

  4. New England: Fishing, Whaling, Trapping, Ship Building, and Logging. • Middle Colonies: Farming, Grain, Oats, Textiles, Paper Making, Blacksmiths, Silver Smiths, Cobblers, Wheel Wrights, Wig Makers, and Milliners. • Southern Colonies: Rice, Indigo, Tobacco, Sugar Cane, and Cotton. What makes the Regions unique

  5. A Tailor measures cloth and cuts it along measurements. • A Blacksmith makes metal into tools. • A Cooper crafts casks and wooden items. • 3 tools used in Colonial times were Augers, Chisels, and Saws. Jobs/Tools

  6. Colonial Families houses looked like modern day houses. • Some of the food that the Colonial people ate were Apple Tansy, Carolina Fish Muddles, and Gazpacho. Family Life/Food

  7. Some of the men’s clothing were Banyans, Breeches, and a Coat. • Some of the Women’s clothing were Hooped Petticoats, Stays, and Shifts. Clothing

  8. Some of the games Colonial people liked to play were Board Games, Puzzles, Cards, Stilts, and Ninepins Games

  9. Some of the instruments used to make music in Colonial Times were Fifes, Drums, and String Instruments. Music
