Goals • Provide a forum that will help increase understanding of Chi Omega policy through a way to quickly and easily look up rules and policies • Increase transparency of Chi Omega through an online suggestion/answer wiki • Provide a way to better understand the risks associated with alcohol use and how to deal with various alcohol-related situations
Target Audience • The officers and collegiate members of Chi Omega Fraternity • young women currently enrolled in college and active within their chapters • most likely, members of the Mu Kappa chapter at Duke University, though others may also be interested (especially in the searchable Book of Rules feature) • Also, the risk management tutorial may interest members of other groups who are concerned about the welfare of their members
Audience Benefit • Site visitors will be able to search for pertinent rules and policies in the online Book of Rules without having to read through many pages in search of a specific issue in the hardcopy. • Site visitors will be able to see that their suggestions are considered, even if no action is ultimately taken in response to them. They will also be able to understand the reasons behind given decisions. • Site visitors will be better equipped to deal with real-life situations after completing quick tutorials on the risks of alcohol and how to respond appropriately in various situations.
