The history of Chi Omega • Founded at the University of Arkansas, on April 5th, 1895 • Our executive headquarters is currently located in Memphis, Tennessee • The first chapter founded was the Psi chapter • We had five founders : • Sis Doc, Jobelle Holcombe, Jean Vincenheller, Ina May Boles, and Alice Carrie Simonds • Our male founder, Sis Doc, is from the Kappa Sigma fraternity • Currently, there are 300,000 initiated Chi Omega sisters • Chi Omega symphony was written by Ethel Switzer Howard
