Facts about John Enders • During his career he won a Nobel Prize in 1954 in physiology with Frederick Chapman Robbins and Thomas Huckle Weller. • Ender’s commenced his career as a member of the Harvard faculty while still a student, with an assistantship in the department of bacteriology and immunology, in 1929.- • In 1935 Harvard promoted John to the status of assistant professor. • During WW II he served as a civilian consultant on infectious diseases to the U.S. war department.
