Education • His dad taught him • Went to Royal High School • Finished high school at 15 • At 16 he was a pupil teacher • He moved to London and got educated
Accomplishments • Invented the telephone • The first demonstration was before the American Academy of Arts and Science May10,1876 in Boston • Invented the Hydrofoil (boat) which was once the fastest boat in the world • He had 50,000 dollars and used it to make a science lab • He invented giant kites that lifted people in the air
Later life • Died August 2 ,1922 age 75 • He became a teacher of the deaf • Married Mabel Hubbard in 1877 • He had a son but died of breathing problems • He suffered diabeteies
Fun facts • He had black eyes so his eyes were sensitive to light so he would get headaches • He could play the piano so he planed to be a musician • He taught his dog to growl on command • He moved to Canada in 1870 • He opened a deaf school in Washington dc in 1883
