Childhood • When Alexander was sixteen he taught music. • When he was 24 he moved to Boston. • At the time Boston was very busy with inventors, scientists, colleges and industry. • He didn’t have the middle name Graham until he was 11. His dad gave it to him as a birthday present from (he always wanted a middle name)
His family • His father taught people how to speak correctly. • His deaf mother worked as an artist. • His brother died at the age of 25
Fact file • Alexander Graham Bell was born on March 3rd , 1847 in Scotland. • Alexander worked on telegraphs with his assistant who was a electrical designer named Thomas Watson. • When he invented the telephone his first words spoken into in to the telephone to his assistant were “Come here , I want to see you”
His Inventions • Alexander invented the telephone. • After he improved the telephone over 150,000 people in the U.S owned telephones.
Education • He didn’t go to primary school instead his father homeschooled him. • At an early age he was enrolled at the Royal high school, Edinburgh, Scotland. • He left the Royal High School at the age of 15
