Alexander’s or Aleck’s Family • Aleck had two siblings. They were both older than him. • He had a mom and a dad. The dad taught blind children. The mom was nearly deaf. • His two brothers died of tuberculosis. That is Aleck’s first family.
The Talking Machine • One day Aleck and his brother Melly were assigned to make a talking machine by there father. • It took them a ton of experiments for the talking machine to work. • When the talking machine was finally made they used it to pull pranks on there neighbors by making it speak like a baby.
The Assistant • In 1870’s Aleck got a assistant named Thomas Watson. • Thomas had the perfect tool’s for Aleck to experiment with. • When Aleck did telephone experiment Thomas was the receiver.
The Amazing Machine • Thomas and Aleck tried to make the telephone a ton of times. • After they got it to work they got a patent so nobody would copy them. • When they finally got a working telephone and made a call from New York to Chicago.
Other facts • One thing Alexander Graham Bell had a nickname which is Aleck. • Aleck was very busy when he was 24.
Aleck was born in Aleck’s life 1847 Edinburgh Scotland Thomas Watson became Aleck’s assistant in 1870s. In 1871 he taught deaf people, In 1876 the telephone was invented
