  7. Amish Communities • A new Amish community is founded about every three-and-a-half weeks. • The Amish population is growing and heading west.

  8. Amish and technology • They don’t use radios, televisions, and personal computers. • They do use gas grills, shop tools, and some farm equipment.

  11. Rumspringa • Rumspringa is when all the teen age Amish boys and girls experience more freedom. • Rumspringa is all about sex, parties, and fast cars.

  18. Weddings • Amish brides don’t wear makeup • Don’t get a ring because they don’t wear jewelry • They are usually held on Thursdays in late autum.
