LEARNING OUTCOMES • Through developing the four skills i.e. Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, the students will be able to • list some household chores • describe pictures of family members doing house work • listen to an interview and take notes • read about daily routines • write a list of household chores that they and their family • members do at home.
Let us see some pictures and say what people are doing at home with their household chores

Like the pictures shown above, you and your family members do some household chores at home. Now, describe at least three activities to your partner that you, your father and mother do at home.

A day in the life of a teacher Jacky Smith aged 34 has been teaching for 9 years. She currently teaches five ands six years old in Devon Primary School. She has a s school-age son. At 7:30 am Jacky Smith arrives at school: It’s quiet and peaceful at that time and she can get some preparation and photocopying done. 8:30 am She does playground duty. 8:45 am She takes the register for the 32 pupils in her class. 9:00 am She supervise school assembly. 9:15 am She starts classes. 10:30 am She has coffee in the staff room.
At 12:00 pm Lunch break. 12:30 pm Staff meeting. 4:00 pm She reaches home. Her son is also at home by this time. 6:00 pm She cooks for the family. 6:30 pm Her husband comes by this time and helps her the kitchen. 8:30 pmin Her husband sets the table and they all take the dinner. 9:00 pm She puts her only son to bed and she too, goes to bed.
