Pharmacist Core Competency paper • Approved by ISHLT education council (12/2011) • 13 authors • 8 USA, 2 Australia, 1 Ireland, 1 UK, 1 France • Target JHLT submission date: October 2012

Concurrent symposium ISHLT 2012 meeting: A lifecycle journey in ………”series” Chairs: Patty Uber, PharmD (USA); Andreas Zuckermann, MD (Austria) • Three speakers: Paul Nolan, PharmD; David Taylor, MD; Mike Shullo, PharmD (USA) • Seven panelists: above plus Robert Page, PharmD, MSPH, Walt Uber, PharmD (USA)

  4. Goals and plans for coming year • Complete ISHLT Pharmacist Core Competency document 2. Submit 2013 Pharmacy and Pharmacology symposium in the “A journey in the life of…” format 3. Contribute to assigned month of ISHLT Links, pursue monthly rolling contribution 4. Junior faculty mentorship on JHLT State-of-the-Art paper submissions

  5. Key discussion points and action items for the Board • Appropriate representation of council for the 2013 Program Planning committee • Continuing Education Credits for Pharmacists at the Annual Meeting • Support for minimum quarterly conference calls (likely need 6 per year)
