  3. Ekostyl is a family farm, and hasnoemployees at the moment. Since 1987thefarm hasbeenrun without anychemical inputs. Starting from 1993 it is a certified organic farm.

  4. Farm production Thesearethethingsaboutecologicalfarmingthatwe’velearnedthere: • 6 year crop rotation is practiced on the farm. The rotation is based on cereals and leguminous • well balanced amount of fodder crops allows to maintain self-sufficiency in fodder • appropriateamount of livestock guaranties fertilization • the farmdoesn’t buy any fodder or manure

  5. Farm Description The farm consists of arable land and permanent grassland. The whole farm isorganicallymanaged. Total area – 10,51 ha •Permanent grasslands 0,92 ha •Arable land 8,01 ha Livestock • 1 dairycow • 1 heifer • 1 horse • 5 pigs • 40 layers Type of farming Mixed Farm based on crop and animal production

  6. CerealProcessing Plant • Grain produced on the farm is alsoprocessed on thefarm (flour and cereal aremade) • Organic products are sold directly to thecustomerswhoare visiting the farm • Some products aredelivered to customer’s homes
