GEDA: State Energy Conservation Fund • As per the provisions of “Energy Conservation Act 2001”, enacted and enforced by Government of India, Government of Gujarat has constituted a fund to be called the “Gujarat State Energy Conservation Fund”. • Energy and Petrochemicals Department, Government of Gujarat has issued Notification No: GS/2010/67/ECN-1204-525 - (305418) –B dated May 19, 2010 • The Gujarat State Energy Conservation Fund rules are as per the model rules of SECF provided by BEE for reference to GEDA - SDA • As per the provision of Notification a separate accounts is opened by GEDA - SDA for operation of the Fund • BEE has released Rs 2.00 Crores to GEDA- SDA for the activities vide letter dated August 13, 2010. • The SECF shall be utilized as per the terms and conditions of BEE and the Notification issued by Gujarat State Government

GEDA: State Energy Conservation Fund • Proposed activities • Preparation of Energy Conservation Saving Plans for Commercial and SME sectors • Implementation of sector specific savings plan • Preparation of Waste Heat Recovery - Detailed Project Report for Industries – SMEs and Large Industries through consultants • Demonstration projects on Waste to Heat Recovery • Implementation of Demonstration projects related to EC & EE • Training of personnel and specialists • Promotion of R &D in the field of Energy Conservation and Energy Efficiency

GEDA: State Energy Conservation Fund Schemes and Projects implemented in last three years from State Government Funds • Walk-through Energy Audits in SMEs: 1200 Units • Detailed Energy Audits in Industries: 28 Units • Energy Savers for street lights in Gandhinagar: 15 Nos • Improved Crematoria: 500 Nos • Natural water cooler: 100 Nos • T-5 tube lights for Old Sachivalaya and Govt offices, Gandhinagar: 15000 Nos • CFLs for Govt. Houses in Gandhinagar: 3785 Nos • Solar Street lights for Nagar Palikas: 1600 Nos • Energy Efficient Agri. Submersible Pumpsets: 11,000 Nos • BURD program: 3600 Schools and 50000 students • Seminars, training programs, energy auditors meets, radio, TV, News papers advertisements etc
