Her life • Full name: Adele Laurie Blue Edkins • Born on 5th May 1988 in Tottenham (London) • Her parents (Penney Adkins and Mark Evans) were split when she was only 3 years old • With 16 she moved to London where she wrote her first song `Hometown Glory` • She graduated from her shool BRIT School for Performing Arts & Tecnologie in Croydon in May 2006 • Was a classmate with Leona Lewis and Jessie J • Cited the Spice Girls as her idols and says now `They made me what I am today.`

  4. Four month after her graduation she published two songs, which a friend posted on the internet • Two weeks later she got her first phone call from a music label called `XL Recordings` • Adele signed to XL in September 2006 • Her first song `Hometown Glory` was released in October 2007
