STATE PROGRESS • EO-48 – April 2007 • Established requirements for state agency energy management • Created the Governor’s Energy Policy Advisory Council • Virginia Energy Plan – August 2007 • Four goals; recommendations • Energy Use Operational Review • Cross-cutting review of energy use across agencies • Commission on Climate Change – December 2007 • Report due December 15, 2008

  3. STATE ELECTRIC CONTRACTS • Dominion Power – Working on revised contract with changes to reflect move from de-regulation to hybrid-regulation • Appalachian Power – Upcoming review of existing contract to determine if amendments needed • Other providers generally on jurisdictional rates

  4. PJM • Administers transmission and generation in Virginia • Rules developed by members • State is considering joining after July 1st • Will work with other members to achieve common goals
