DUBROVNIK – RAVENNA the war years.....1991-1995 ACTIVITIES 1991 – Ravenna organized a fund-raiser for Dubrovnik 1992 – Ravenna collected humanitarian aid for Croatia - a Dubrovnik delegation visits Ravenna in June 1994 – exchange of letters between both cities 1995 – Ravenna signs an Appeal with other public administrations regarding the bombardment of Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik visits Ravenna in February re agriculture, mariculture, restoration of monuments 1995 - Dubrovnik receives CERVIA AMBIENTE AWARD "Regions and local administrations, their contribution for the peace and the cooperation in the Adriatic area end Europe" Cervia, May 28, 2010

CROATIA – REGIONAL RELATIONS Dubrovnik… focal point for social cohesion in the region where history and culture have always blended and grown from each other the capacity to become a regional exchange center for all neighboring countries in the Adriatic and in South East Europe the resources, know-how, courage to take on the leadership for this region Dubrovnik is to be a candidate for European capital of culture for 2020 Together with Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Kotor (Montenegro) preparing a candidature for the Mediterranean games in 2021.
