  1. Alisha the Agnostic Alisha calls herself an agnostic because she believes there is no proof for the existence of God, so you could say that Alisha doesn't believe or disbelieve in God. In other words, in Alisha's mind, God could exist, but no one can currently prove that.

  2. “Agnostic” was introduced by Thomas Henry Huxley in 1869 to describe his philosophy which reject Gnosticism, by which he meant to simply the early 1st millennium religious group, but all claims to spiritual or mystical knowledge.

  3. Agnosticism Agnosticism is the view that the existence of God is impossible to be known or proven. The word “agnostic” essential means “without knowledge.” Agnosticism is a more intellectually honest form of atheism. Atheism claims that God does not exist – an improvable position. Agnosticism argues that God’s existence cannot be proven or unproven – that it is impossible to know whether God exists. In this concept, agnosticism is correct. God’s existence cannot be empirically proven or disproven.

  4. About the Godhead The Godhead is a possibility, but it cant be proven

  5. About Jesus Alisha believes Jesus was either just an ordinary person, or never existed at all. She will oftentimes refer to the 'Jesus-Myth', or when she is being really sarcastic, refers to 'Jebus' (a sarcastic reference to Christ).

  6. About the Bible Alisha believes the Bible is a collection of myths, half-truths, and lies designed to lead ignorant people astray and give power to religious leaders over the masses.

  7. About the Afterlife Alisha believes the reality of the afterlife is a possibility, because it can't be proven or disproven.

  8. About Salvation In Alisha's mind, there is no need for salvation from sin and hell

  9. The Bible tells us that we must accept by faith that God exists. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” God is spirit so He cannot be seen or touched. John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth. The Bible instructs that the existence of God can be clearly seen in the universe: The Bible instructs that the existence of God can be clearly seen in the universe.

  10. Psalm 119:1-4 - The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament showeth his handiwork. Day unto day uttered speech, And night unto night showeth knowledge. There is no speech nor language; Their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

The Bible instructs that the existence of God can be sensed in Nature.

  12. Romans 1:18-22 - For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness; because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them. For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, [even] his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse: because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasoning's, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

  14. Does God exist? Alternative Answers and their implications – • Either God exists or he doesn’t • Life has no meaning • Life holds no value • Life is without purpose

  15. Agnosticism is essentially the unwillingness to make a decision either for or against God’s existence. It is the ultimate “riding the fence” position. Theists believe that God exists. Atheists believe that God does not exist. Agnostics believe that we shouldn’t believe or disbelieve in God’s existence – because it is impossible to know either way.

  16. Focus on the observable evidence of God that is built in to creation like how 'fine tuned' the universe is to support life, otherwise we wouldn't even exist. This fine tuning simply could not have happened by accident. For example, the earth is the perfect distance from the sun. If it were just a few miles closer, we'd all burn up. A few miles further out, and we'd all freeze to death! • Try to work what is called 'Paschal's Wager' into the conversation - which goes something like this: • It makes more sense to believe in God than to not believe. If you believe, and God exists, you will be rewarded in the afterlife. If you do not believe, and He exists, you will be punished for your disbelief. If He does not exist, you have lost nothing either way. • If they ask questions like: "how do you know which God?" - focus on the claims of Christ as being the only way and proving it by coming back from the dead. Remember to bring this up as a conversation starter, and not as an intimidating threat. • Bottom line with an agnostic: remember you cannot argue someone to faith in Christ, but you can (and should) live such a Christ like life that those around you sense something different, which opens the door for you to explain the 'evidence'.
