How to Replace White-Rodgers Gas Valve in a HVAC System? • It is important to regularly inspect the working condition of oil and gas heating furnaces in a HVAC system to finding out whether or not the White-Rodgers gas valve, control knobs and other parts are in good and working condition. Proper maintenance of these parts allows efficient use of energy and prevents the appliance from being a potential health hazard. Repair any parts in the HVAC system as quickly as possible if they are damaged or faulty. • Some of the indications that the White-Rodgers gas valve might not be working properly include: poor production of heat – it can be too much or little, HVAC system doesn’t work properly, continuous flickering or appearance of too much noise in the HVAC system. If needed, a short piece of ½” black iron pipe can be screwed into the control inlet to increase leverage • Install White-Rodgers gas valve in reverse order
