Implications for WDC Boundary Adjustment • Increase in WDC’s boundary • 25% of Franklin’s population (approx. 13 000 residents) • Less than 25% of rates base • Not a lot of assets - mostly liabilities • Franklin District Council will cease to exist on 1 November 2010 – seamless transition is critical
