Our mind and how it evolves Core 01-21D 10/9/13
Objectives: • Consider: • How does one form opinions? • How, and why, does one defend those opinions? • Realize: One’s opinion and collective knowledge is formed from a collection of experiences.
Outcome (or so we hope) • To understand how people come to conclusions, not through constant re-iteration of facts or other opinions, but through experiences. • To understand, and relate to, how personal thoughts and beliefs slowly change due to those experiences.
Reflective Activity 10/9/13 • Option 1 (More Personal): Write about a time where-in your views on a subject changed, either drastically or subtly, due to your experiences in life. • Option 2 (Easy Mode): Do you think that the average person, or people in general, sporadically come to conclusions based on a single moment in their life.
