  3. SACSCOC Principles • Requirement • Must be met or will not be reaffirmed • Standard • Must be met or may be placed on monitoring

  4. EDUC/PSYC 1300Learning Frameworks Core Requirement 2.7.3: General Education Provide evidence of: • Breadth of knowledge • Coherent rational • If replacing the required Humanities and required Social Sciences course, it must meet the requirements for those areas (cannot be a study skills course)

  5. EDUC/PSYC 1300Learning Frameworks Comprehensive Standard 3.4.1: Academic Program Approval Provide evidence of: • Faculty approval of the changes to the general education program • Institutional policies were followed

  6. EDUC/PSYC 1300Learning Frameworks Comprehensive Standard 3.4.10: Responsibility for Curriculum Address the means by which the: • Institution places primary responsibility for curricular content and quality with its faculty

  7. EDUC/PSYC 1300Learning Frameworks Comprehensive Standard 3.12.1: Substantive Change Provide evidence that: • SACSCOC approval to change the general education program was granted OR Provide justification that: • Changes to the general education program should not be considered a significant departure from the current general education program

  8. Institutional Autonomy Provide examples of institutional autonomy related to the review and implementation of these curricular changes.

  9. SPC Response SPC is responding to these inquiries: • In collaboration with the other colleges • In collaboration with faculty leadership and administration • With utmost integrity and candor • Within the deadline of April 15, 2014 SACSCOC will respond: • SPC provided an acceptable response, or • Request further information or clarification, or • Take further action
