  1. Interesting Fact about Taj Mahal TAJ MAHAL - THE MAIN ATTRACTION AND SYMBOL OF INDIA Everyone recognizes that the Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The mausoleum is a glorious structure, built of white marble, symbolizing purity, love and pain, just like no other architecture does. The majestic and luxurious palace of the Taj Mahal is recognized as one of the main attractions of India. It is located on the outskirts of Agra (27 BC and 78 AD), 200 km from Delhi, the capital of India. Let us look at some interesting facts about the Taj Mahal.

  2. 1. Shah Jahan Shah Jahan was a member of the Mughal dynasty, which ruled most of northern India from the early 16th century to the mid-18th century. In 1627, after the death of his father, King Jahangir, Shah Jahan struggled with his brothers for power and crowned the emperor in Agra in 1628. Construction began around 1632 and will continue over the next two decades. The main architect was probably Ustad Ahmad Lakhuri, an Indian Persian descent, who was later assigned to design the Red Fort in Delhi.

Design and construction of the Taj Mahal Named the Taj Mahal in honor of Mumtaz Mahal, the mausoleum was built of white marble inlaid with semiprecious stones (including jade, crystal, lapis lazuli, amethyst and turquoise), using a technique called pietra dura to create complex designs.
