Employee Central Vision Effectively use online technology to improve workforce productivity… …that integrates: • employee to employee • employee to business processes, …leading to better: • employee to supplier and • employee to customer relations.
Employee Central will feature a single entry point for all employees. Employees will navigate based on their roles and activities. This is personalization within the sub-portal, Employee Central
PORTLET PORTLET Portlets • Portlet (previously known as a “gadget”) is a small window inside of a portal interface, similar in appearance to a sports scoreboard. • Portlets can draw on resources from existing applications such as SAP. • Users can configure portlets with personalized preferences – for example, the number of email messages to display. See PORTLET samples below.
Edit Personalized Set Preferences Portlets and Personalization • Community Administrators (Portal Managers) have edit capabilities on many portlets • Some portlets are automatically personalized for you based on your user ID, location and/or organization • Some portlets allow users to specify their personal preferences
