Blue Sky Involve —an integral part of the Triple Bottom Line At Johnson Controls we define our success more broadly than by financial results: Blue Sky Involve fulfills our Vision of creating a more comfortable, safe and sustainable world by connecting employees with local communities and organizations. Blue Sky Involve promotes leadership development and environmental stewardship through employee volunteerism and contributions to worthy community organizations and schools.

  3. What is Blue Sky Involve? 3 • Blue Sky Involve is Johnson Controls’ global employee volunteer program • Launched in 2006 • Employee-driven program supporting volunteer efforts aligned with: • Environmental sustainability • Leadership development • Employee teams choose a non-profitorganization or school • Minimum of 3 employees per project • Approved projects receive $1,000 grant

  4. What qualifies a Blue Sky Involve project? Project must meet the following eligibility requirements: • Involvement by at least three employees • Supports environmental stewardship or leadership development • Helps a registered non-profit or educational institution • Engages employees as active volunteers • Applies to projects outside of Milwaukee or Plymouth headquarters areas

  5. The application process • Applications are accepted online March 1 – June 30 • If project is approved, applicant will be notified via email and project can begin • $1000 grant payment will be sent either via check (for U.S./Canada) or wire transfer (for all projects outside U.S./Canada) • Wire transfer details are required for all applications outside the U.S and Canada • Complete project by the end of December • Upon project completion, Share your Success Story online

  9. Leadership Development Project example Business Unit/Country: Partner: Place: Activity: BE India Denvar School for the Blind Hyderabad, India Volunteers assist blind children 19 Volunteers x 5 hours = 95 hours 9

Leadership Development Project example Business Unit/Country: Partner: Place: Activity: BE Puerto Rico United Way Centro Sor Isolina Ferre, Rio Piedras Volunteers painted the facility exterior Fondos Unidos/Centro Sor Isolina Ferre cares for drop out students, victims of domestic violence, pregnant teens and provides counseling services to families that have been victimized by drug addiction and alcoholism. 25 Volunteers x 8 hours = 200 hours 10
