SOMA Democratic Republic of Congo Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo; Operating out of the Lubumbashi Medical Clinic, Mercy and Care International (MCI) is the “brainchild” of U.S. trained physician Dr. YsuUmbalo. The clinic works to bring services and care to some of the poorest citizens of this devastated Western African country. NATUROPATHIC GLOBAL HEALTH COUNCIL The vision of the Naturopathic Global Health Council (NGHC) is to work collaboratively to ensure that all those striving for improvement and equity in global health, specifically in naturopathic global health, have the information and resources they need to succeed, have a forum to share information, and can prepare adequately to provide care in a responsible and ethical manner.

Addressing Emerging Global Health Issues in Naturopathic Medicine It is time for new forms of collaboration at the national and international level which seek to engage a wide range of participants in meaningful dialogue based on common values in order to: • Build a network of educational and medical resources and opportunities • Create partnerships • Facilitate communication • Generate mechanisms for needs assessment and data gathering • Ensure responsibility and ethical practices • Reach out to the larger community doing this work • And??? …….
