LSS8L CRITICAL CASE: SECTOR 7-8 • Installation by CERN of the QRL in sector 7-8 gives the opportunity to: • Start with QRL sub-sector A and B (~600m left of point 8 (LSS8L)) in March 2005 and then, install magnets in parallel with the remaining of the QRL • Start QRL cold testing in June 2005 • Start installing magnets (LSS8L) in parallel with the remaining of the QRL in August 2005 • LSS8L cool down & power tests from October 2005 to March 2006 • Gather maximum experience on the field in 2005 with a view to propose an optimized and reliable scenario for the other sectors S.Bartolomé - EDMS:547511
CRITICAL CASE: SECTOR 7-8 (cont.) • The following main diverse material have to be available for installation in Summer 2005: • Components: • Support jacks (supplied by CAT-India) • Motorised jacks for Inner Triplets: CAT-India jacks modified • Resistive magnets: MBXW and MBXWS • Inner Triplet (Q1-Q2-Q3) • DFBXG • D1-D2 • Collimator, TCL • Q4, Q5 • DFBMA/C S.Bartolomé - EDMS:547511
CRITICAL CASE: SECTOR 7-8 (cont.) • Installation tooling such as: • Spreader beams for all magnets • Transportation system for DFBX • Vacuum equipment: • Cold-warm transitions (VAX, VAB,…) • Vacuum chambers • Supports • Beam position monitors (BPTX, BPMWB, BPMSW, BPMSX…) • Instrumentation • Others S.Bartolomé - EDMS:547511
