  2. The approach to the USW regulatory framework • Based on the Glamorgan legal framework • Mapping exercise undertaken • Identification of best practice • Applicability to USW and UoW where possible

  3. Deletions • Partner institutions using different structures to the on-campus modular structure • Modules can have exit points • ‘Wildcards’ have been removed. However, students may still substitute modules (up to 20 credits per level) provided that the learning outcomes of the course have still been met • The section on impartial examiners is not relevant • Second awards • Priorities for access to modules • Shared ownership courses

Clarifications • Whilst the content of the module is constant the same module can be developed to be assessed at different levels providing two module codes are assigned in order to differentiate the levels and the assessments and learning outcomes reflect the level of study [A.1.4.1] • Assessment methods for each module can be amended without revalidation, through the interim modifications process [A.1.4.3] • Students’ total learning time is ten notional hours [A.1.4.4] • Transfer between courses is subject to consideration of the student’s learning to date and the decision will be taken by the Course Leader [A.1.5.4] • Formative assessment is not included in assessment grades [A.2.5.1.1] • Transcripts are provided to students (and do not have to be requested) [A.2.9.10[b]]
