  3. Program Overview • Tuition Costs • Half-Day Programs • 9:00-11:30 • 1:00-3:30 • Transportation is NOT provided • Multi-Age Classes • Approximately 16 students per class • 10 typically developing children, 6 children with special needs • Taught by a certified teacher • 2 educational assistants

  4. Program Overview, continued • Inclusive model began in 1999 in response to the need to educate our students with special needs in the Least Restrictive Environment • The Early Childhood Program currently serves over 320 children (approximately 40% are children with special needs)

  5. Program Overview, continued • The Creative Curriculum • Standards Based • Developmentally Appropriate • Differentiated Instruction • The Staff • 15 Certified Teachers • 1 Full Time Nurse • 35 Educational Assistants

  6. Eligibility • Be at least 3 years of age and no older than 4 on or before October 1, 2012 (students may not begin program until their third birthday) • Must be a resident of Cherry Hill • Toilet Trained

  7. Enrollment Process • Complete application (due March 1) • Each application is assigned a number based on age and gender (number does not affect placement) • Lottery held on March 3 • 4 separate drawings based on age and gender • Letters of notification mailed March 19 • sent to ALL families

Enrollment Process, continued • If selected • Must return Student Information Questionnaire by April 1 • Notifications of class placement and registration date will be mailed • If not selected • Waiting list • Openings subsequently arising shall be filled from the waiting list in the order determined by the lottery

  9. Important Dates • Thursday March 1, 4:00 p.m. • Applications Due • Week of March 8, 2012 • Lottery Held • Week of March 21 • Notification Letters Mailed • Monday April 2, 4:00 p.m. • Student Information Questionnaires due
