With data breaches and on-line fraud proliferating, transactional security and data protection have become primary concerns for web-based global ecommerce solutions. Every host wants to have a web portal that is 100% secure. Every individual or enterprise wants to be sure that they are making secure transactions with trusted sources.
One viable approach is to create a 'gated' virtual community of trusted sources, whose identities, location, and credit-worthiness have been independently verified. Diligence done at the time an individual or business applies for membership, periodically thereafter e.g. annually. Continued membership would depend on maintaining a high level of transactional integrity. Members of the community issued a piece of secure hardware that they can only get by applying and being accepted for membership.
To secure the virtual community, its host must have a very strong lock and key system that reliably controls who has access to the site and, thereby, its secure server.
