  1. Personal Protective Equipment PPE: • It protects against accidents. • Inspect it regularly. • Properly care for it. • Use it properly. • Never alter it.

  2. Eye/Face Protection • Safety glasses • Cutting goggles • Face shields (clear or shaded) • Welding Helmets (minimum shade) *inspect for cleanliness * and scratches

  3. Gloves • protect against sharp objects, rough or hot materials, oils/chemicals, or electricity. • What are you doing? • Use the right ones: cloth, canvas, leather, or rubber. • Inspect regularly.

  4. Shoes • Preferred type is rubber soled, steel-toed boots • Never wear sandals, flip-flops, or shoes that expose the foot.

  5. Clothes • Wear long pants that are not frayed. • Leather Jacket and/or long sleeves in some situations such as welding

  6. Hearing Protection • Hearing damage is painless, which makes hearing protection extra important • Earplugs - clean regularly • Earmuffs - fit snuggly • With extreme noise, wear both

  7. Breathing Protection • Respirators • Breathing Masks
