  1. What To Preach? Most preachers contemplating a sermon wonder what should be addressed. A good example is that of the apostle Peter, seen in Acts 10. First, there are certain desirable traits characteristic of Peter (vs. 22, 23, 29; 25, 26; 29). We can also see what Peter preached (Acts 10: 34-43).

  2. S u b j e c t s What To Preach? Preach Jesus. 1.John 8: 24; Rom. 6: 3-5; Acts 1: 11, Matt. 25: 31-46.

  3. S u b j e c t s What To Preach? Preach the church. 1.Matt. 16: 18, 19, Acts 20: 28, Eph. 4: 4, I Cor. 4: 17.

  4. S u b j e c t s What To Preach? Preach the plan of salvation. 1. Acts 8: 30-35, 36-39. A. John 8: 24, Acts 17: 30, 31, Rom. 10: 9, 10, Acts 2: 38.

  5. S u b j e c t s What To Preach? Preach on current issues. 1. Rev. 2: 12-17 (Rev. 2: 14, 15; 2: 20).

  6. S u b j e c t s What To Preach? Declare the whole counsel of God. 1. Acts 20: 20, 27.

What To Preach? “18: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 19: For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20: Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21: For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe” (I Cor. 1).
