Have we been with Jesus? • Part 1 was “so that they would be with Him” • it must start with being with Jesus • covered last time but vital • creation waits eagerly for the sons of God to be revealed (Rom 8:19) • our nation needs to hear • As disciples, how will we respond to that? Filled with the Holy Spirit • It was because of the Holy Spirit they were recognised (v8) • the Spirit gave them confidence (v13) • gift of healing (v14) • we go in faith confident in Him to act • When did we last have an experience of the Holy Spirit? Proclaiming what we know • As witnesses • Ac 4:20 for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard. • Ac 22:15 For you will be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard. • 1Jo 1:3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. • Have we seen and heard for ourselves? 18. To boldly go… • The disciples went to prepare the way for Jesus to come (Luke 10:1 & Acts 4:29-30) • they went first in faith (v29) • Jesus came after (v30) • we go in faith confident in Him to act Dr. Adrian Todd - www.gatewaychurch.org.uk

19. Proclaiming is not just words • Preach the Gospel at all times, and when necessary use words. 23. Displacing the Enemy • Not going to talk about personal deliverance • What does it mean in terms of personally following Jesus? • We are only able to displace the enemy if we are… • constantly being with Jesus, • living the Good News. Dr. Adrian Todd - www.gatewaychurch.org.uk

32. The rule & works of Jesus • for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
