The University of Detroit Mercy, a Catholic university in the Jesuit and Mercy traditions, exists to provide excellent student-centered undergraduate and graduate education in an urban context. A UDM education seeks to integrate the intellectual, spiritual, ethical, and social development of students. Mission = Student Centered

  15. Earn your medallion! 250 hours of community service Participation in UDM organizations Participation in Spirituality Programs Leadership Training Workshops Leadership Courses

  16. You CAN earn your medallion! Over four years, with just over 30 hours of community service per semester, or just over 2 hours per week during each15-week semester and you will earn a medallion. 2.1 hours per week x 30 weeks = 63 hours/yr. x 4 years 252 hours Alternative Spring (or Winter) Break counts for 50 hours Summer service hours and unpaid internships related to service can also be counted toward your service requirement.
